Creative Director / Founding team
BEITNA (Arabic for “our home”) will be the first Palestinian cultural space in Mexico City (CDMX). Led by a majority-Palestinian team, we aim to promote Palestinian culture, support Palestinian voices and livelihoods, and build communities of solidarity.
Based in one of the largest cities in Latin America, Beitna will have four core offerings: 1) a café and storefront, 2) cultural events, 3) an art gallery, and 4) a bookstore. Our work will be guided by the following organizing values: Inclusion, People Over Profits, Social Justice, and Collaboration.
MXCity is a digital platform of 2+ million users designed to highlight, facilitate and discover the most attractive places, people, and events in Mexico to generate greater interest in its history and contemporary culture.
As Creative Director, I was tasked with designing V2 of MXCity, called MXC, which would be an interconnected and innovative content engine focused on Mexican artists and personalities, with a new vision of how we discover, develop, promote and consume Mexican culture internationally.
The design of MXC would be a cross disciplinary approach that bridged general content, original content, and experiences in order to feed into each other like a rhizome.
